Proposal

I am thinking of doing an animation of two claymen of fighting each other with a castle like background which ail be around 20 seconds. My theme will has a medievil feel to it with the castle and music which is ride of the valkyries well as a good fight which will be fun to watch for my audience.

I would use iStopMotion because that is the software for filming in steps which will be my main software.

I will use iMovie for Editing once I have done my animation.

I will use Garageband for editing my ride of the valkyries which is my background music.

Afterwards I will use Save it in my blogger which will show everyone what I have done. It tock 12 weeks to finish this animation on every wednesday.

How I made David vs Philip movie

How I made My David vs Philip video

I made this in iStopMotion. I first made two clayman to due battle with each other, then I made the background by using a printout of an castle from google images and slicking then on cardboard, afterward I got an camera that I could slick it into the computer then I gone onto iStopMotion, on iStopMotion I cilcked onto the source on the top right of the screen and gone To get the camera that I slicked in the computer. I then aimed the camera in the right way to make my video. I clicked as many time as I could in the timeframe of 3 seconds then moving the claymen to match the scene that I am doing After I have done all the shots that I need I saved.

I then uploaded the iStopMotion video onto Imovie to edit the scenes that I need .the scenes ended down below in which I took out the hands on the video by right clicking on the image and clicking remove from selection, then placed the scene up top so I can connect the scenes together and then added a start and an end. the stat is an introduction for the video while the end is for the credits. afterwards I found an an sound from youtube which is ride of the valkyries and put it in Garageband to edit.

Evaluation for animation

My throghts are of a sinple nature. I thought that my animation did show what I wanted to show which is the battle of two claymen which shows a short but epic battle that has character which I am very proud of. it was very difficult to get the camera where I wanted it to go but then it was done it was straight forward. The best bit for me was completing the animation which was a relief that it was done and made me proud of the work that I have done. here is my animation which I am most happy with.

I used iMovie to edit my animation, it was much easier to use then the rest of the software because it was the software that I have used the most so I was more familiar with this software then garageband. here is what it looked like when I put the animation in iMovie. it was fun putting it together because all I had to to was left click so I can choose what bit I want and the bits that I want to cut out, then I put the bit at the bottom to the top by copy and paste which was very easy because I did it many times.

The task made me think of how I will conplete other tasks in my life because I believe this task was the best in me managing what I had to do so it got me thinking that I got to be more practical in future work and in my daily life. Using garageband for my background theme was very difficult to use which I even needed my teacher Kevin to help me out.

On youtube there is an animation very close to to mine in terms of both mine and the persons David vs goliath and which is on this link which in my option is much better because there is better pacing with his compared to mine and that it follows the original canon more closely. An complaint of  mine that I have made is when I had an moment where I had an repeat of the same animation which starts at 11 seconds of my finished animation which was a mistake of mine which has taught me to look more carefully at my work so that I don't make mistakes.

I will make a stop motion Animation of a small model of clay as David and a big Human which will play as Goliath. First I make the man of clay and some equipment like a sword, shield and a swing shot, below is what I mean by a clayman. 

I will find and use I sound for my sound effects.

I will be the giant.

Prelude 1

On one blight day of Thursday in the river was a man named Kent Brink (Robert Cocker) who was looking out of the harbour remembering all he had done to get to where he was in the underground crime world of the syndicate, from his first drug trade to his first kill and finally to his promotion into the family of the syndicate.

He looks outward into the harbour thinking of all the things he has done to get as far as he did, he could not believe but he did it, he became rich. Kent looked into his pocket and picked out a pendant, he looked in and saw his family happy and safe from the life they used to have live but even though he had everything he needed he still remembered what he had to do to get where he was.

Kent walking down the street to where he was told to go for his first test to get into the syndicate, why anyone would want to be in this crime business would be unthinkable to some with the crime rate growing up by an whole 20% by last year with deaths and crime for both the syndicate, citizens and police deaths and injuries which continue to go up which has got everyone scared of what’s going, now the only reason anyone would want to be in the syndicate would be how much money you get compared to everything else  which has been diseased with the poor not getting any money from else were, which is way Kent was trying to get into the syndicate because it would help him and his family get away from the street which has been a danger to his family for the entire time

ACT 1

Kent looking intense from all the thinking of the first crime he is about to commit which was hard for him because of his good nature and sense of justice especially since he has not commented a real crime besides when he was younger and stole some candy from candy Joes when he was about seven but now he was late 20, Kent took deep breaths and looked at his pendant and took more breaths, then Kent moved into an back ally of where he was supposed to go to make the trade he looked down and saw the man named Cole Mason ( Alan baker  who looked unclean in the clothes he was wearing Kent moving slowing towards the drug dealer, they see eye to eye very carefully looking to see if they have followed after the intense moment  of carefulness Kent handed out the drugs with Cole handing out the money ,with the deal over both man turn away from each other going out of the back street and leaving behind the event that Kent has been worrying about the whole time, was now over just in that instant.

Prelude 2

Kent Walking across the beach looking across the seas horizon having a sad look on his face goes up to the shore He walks past a couple, happy and cheerful. He walks past them. Looking behide his shoulder with a look of sadness on his face.

Act 2

Kent comes across Eagle Park in his car driving slowing to the house he has been sent to take out an informant who has talked to the police and ranted out two friends he had made in the syndicate. He parks at the outside of the informants house just meters from the car way. Kent looks at the informant’s picture and the image of two people he once know. Just then Kent gets out of the car and walks to the front door and uses a padlock to open the door and goes inside.

Scene break

Kent comes out of the house looking paler he goes back in the car quickly with some blood on his long coat. Kent without looking back gets in the car and drives off.

Epilogue

Kent coming into his own house, putting his coat on his hock and his shoes on the door carpet with lots of letters on it that he does not bother to open up. He then goes into the kitchen opening a tuna can and putting the tuna into bread to make a sandwich.  He then goes up to his room upstairs with upstairs showing another room with toys in it. In his room he puts the sandwich on the side and goes under the big double bed he then picks up a photo and looks at it then he puts it back down and goes to sleep. The photo, which has a picture of his wife and kid that says at the bottom.

Here is a movie that I have edited in imovie from a matrix video that was 60 seconds long to a 30 second film.

Spiderman movie

Here is my spiderman motion tween I have created in flash in which I have got on the internet by print screening it because it did not seem to take the image on flash even when I copied or saved the image. I pasted the image from my desktop to flash. then I made it into a symbol in modify and then convert to symbol.

At this stage I got the spider man image by paint scan the spiderman image and saving it in my folder, then using import to stage to put the spiderman image in flash.

For me to make it sprite I used the timeline at the bottom to make the sequence of how I wanted it to Sprite.

I put the line at 25 for how long I wanted it  by right clicking on the mouse to make a keyframe.

Then I used insert keyframe to make stop so I can change the image at that keyframe such as changing the movement to make it look like the one that I made.

Then I went in insert then motion tween to set the tween which looks like an arrow

Then I went on control and on play to see what my movie looks like and then saved it in my file.

Here is the Peter Griffin gif I have made using flash. What I did first was to find an Peter Griffin image from the internet and then took the image out to the desktop by clicking and moving the image to the desktop. Then I moved the image in flash. In flash I clicked on the image then I clicked on modify then bitmap and then clicked on on trace bitmap and changed the corner threshold and on many corners to change the shape to anything I like in individual parts such as the arms or legs or even face.

Then to change and move the whole shape I right clicked and used the free transform. Then I moved the right corner of the image to move peter to the left. then I cilcked on the first frame and then I cilcked and holded the shift key and cilck on the last frame so that the image becomes an animation. then I went on command and clicked play moive and this is what I got.

An Digital graphic that I made in flash of a stickman with all the animation techniques in the animation there. I first painted the stickman then I clicked to different frames on the top that I wanted using insert then timeline and keyframe to put in other frames so that I can get the image to move to make it into an animation. First I add a keyframe then by point and holding the image I can move were I want the image to be and I can do this with as many frames as I want.

once I have done all the frames that I needed I then go back to the first frame and then I hold the shift key and left click the mouse and move the mouse across to all the frames I have done then I went in timeline and then used moving image to make it a movie, then I used command and test movie to see lf the image worked.
